TIME TO PARTY

Where's The Party At ?

Mardi Gras Celebrations In New Orleans

Fat Tuesday- is known to most people by its French name, Mardi Gras.A festive party marked by parades put on by secret societies called krewes, where elaborate floats and costumed revelers throw everything from beads to doubloons to candy -- even voodoo dolls -- to the beckoning masses. Mardi Gras is always 46 days before Easter, but celebrations usually begin on the 12th night.
Carnival celebration starts on January 6, the Twelfth Night (feast of Epiphany); The parades start  Saturday January 30 and picks up speed until Midnight on Mardi Gras, the day before Ash Wednesday.
In 2010 Mardi Gras is February 16, this is the last day of partying or parades.
The best part of the celebration takes place on the parade route watching the crowds party and the floats pass by.most of this is at 6:00 or 7:00 pm
It is a festive time in New Orleans! During the day, listen to the jazz musicians as you shop the French Quarter, the Riverwalk and the Brewery.
"forget your problems and have fun!"

Other cities famous for their Mardi Gras celebrations include Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Quebec City, Quebec in Canada, Mazatlan, Sinaloa in Mexico, United Kingdom where the festival is called "shrovetide" ending on Shrove Tuesday and New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States. Many other places have important Mardi Gras celebrations as well but New Orleans is the most popular here.

Party Spots

After a long weekend of shoveling snow here, I’m reminded of what a warm welcome spring breaks can be.
I used to go home for spring break, but since I don't really like home that much I decided to join the rest of the college animals and    party !!!

PARTY ON THE BEACH

Anyone flying to Mexico,Dominican Republic or Bermuda is now required to have a passport to enter the country.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection the new law will make it more difficult for people to enter the United States by false identification.

Spring Break Florida

Panama City, Florida West Coast
A trip to Panama City will ensure loudness, drunks, and in-your face debauchery. This beer-soaked party combines all of the worst nightmares that your parents has had over the years. With 27 miles of sand, surf and bronze bikini babes, and 80,000 sq. feet of nightclub space, you will be glad to be amongst the 500,000 people that partake in raunchy sex simulation or something with all the spring break girls.

Cancun

If Mexico's Acapulco is perfect for couples and singles alike, then Cancun is the country's answer to Panama Beaches. Cancun offers dwellers a cheap and affordable excursion with a more student-friendly drinking age and currency factor. The nightclubs are great, the beaches are second to none and the locals will not be able to tell whether your Spanish is off or simply drunk and stuttering.

South Beach

South Beach is more about wine than beer. But with its star-filled tourists, a good time is in the cards. This is almost the best spot for a couple, as wet T-shirt dances are rare. South Beach will also allow for some rest and relaxation despite partying hardy, whereas most of the other destinations provide for raw decadence. But at South Beach, you can lie in the sun peacefully, drink in hand, of course, and work on your tan until the sun sets. Also dont forget the hot spring break girls.

Australia.

The week you get off for Spring Break may be one of the best times to head down under. Visit friends on an exchange program or check out any of this country's amazing beach cities.
Queensland's Gold Coast, particularly Surfers Paradise, maintains its status as the largest single venue for this revelry, attracting tens of thousands of Schoolies. Schoolies are also present at the Sunshine Coast; this is an alternative for the graduates who fear the negative media attention attracted on the Gold Coast. Schoolies have similar traditions at Magnetic Island in Townsville, Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, Sunshine Coast and Port Macquarie.
For South Australia, Victor Harbor is the location of choice, while in Victoria the Surf Coast is popular, mainly consisting of Lorne and Torquay, however Phillip Island is also quite popular for students living in the east and south of Victoria. In Western Australia, Rottnest Island off Perth and the South West towns of Dunsborough and Busselton are popular destinations.
Peter McCutcheon reports.
Last year the so-called "Schoolies Festival", which is held immediately after year 12 exams, was marred by a series of assaults, with police arresting up to 70 people during one night alone.
PETER MCCUTCHEON: "An orgy of violence and stupidity" is how Brisbane's Sunday Mail describes the most recent schoolies festival.
GARY BAILDON: I don't believe any of that's the case. We don't promote the schoolies festival at all, or certainly the Council doesn't. It's a phenomenon that's occurred. Young people throughout Australia and even New Zealand want to come to the Gold Coast to have a great time and celebrate their twelve years of schooling, and I suppose it's the time when they start to feel like they're adults and they want to have a good time.

PETER MCCUTCHEON: Because some people have suggested the whole festival should be cancelled, but you seem to be arguing that you couldn't do that anyway.

GARY BAILDON: Well of course you couldn't, you can't just suddenly say we've closed up. It's like saying we've closed Queensland down. I mean, that's just not possible.

Europe.

BRAZIL

Brazil is very very big. South Brazil is very european... Maybe to people outside Brazil is not so different... For me, one of the most beautiful parts of Brazil is the Northern, with the beaches, the night ...
Rio is the Brazilian tourism capital. The wonderful city, located in the Southeast Region of Brazil
Treasured for its decadent carnivals and sinfully-gorgeous locals, Rio de Janeiro is one of South America's most festive cities.
Rio mirrors the beaches, mountains, green areas, outdoor sports, and events such as New Year’s party réveillon, carnival and so many others. It has many flavors. It is for all ages, with its arms wide opened to welcome all visitors.
